June 29 Gathering: Dr. Tomeka Robinson on centering marginalized voices

We are very excited to be welcoming Dr. Tomeka Robinson back to New Wineskins as our guest speaker on Monday, June 29, to talk about intersectionality and the importance of centering the voices of people in marginalized and oppressed communities.

Tomeka was one of the charter members of the New Wineskins community when she was serving as a professor at Marietta College during the time of our 2014 launch. Now an Associate Professor of Writing Studies and Rhetoric at Hofstra University in New York City, she is widely recognized as an expert in issues regarding race, gender, religion, and intersectionality, and has appeared on regional news outlets to speak about these important issues.

Tomeka will be joining us this Monday, June 29, to talk about the importance of centering the voices of people in marginalized communities, especially in conversations around race, gender, and human sexuality.

Join us in our New Wineskins Virtual Pub via Zoom for what promises to be an educational and important conversation!
